Sorry just one last River rant I promise;
AND THE THING THAT GETS ME is that she thought that he didn’t really love her. She thought that she could never compete with his Tardis, his companions, and all the adventure. But in the Name of the Doctor, River (and the audience) finally get to see how much he truly loves her and how hard losing her was. And this is so heart wrenching for me because a lot of people have told me that the Doctor and River wouldn’t last and that once she was dead that the Doctor would move on and forget her. But now we have proof that it won’t be that simple. Because for me, it was never Rose and the Doctor, and I don’t care how much hate I get for it. I feel like I’ve had to remind so many people that the Doctor married this woman, not to save the world, not because it was convenient, and not because she told him they would; but because he loves her. Their scene in the finale has proved how much they actually care for each other and how much love is in that relationship and just….. I’m sorry, I’m having trouble being eloquent now because I am consumed by the depth of this relationship.

It’s switched because of how important Sherlock was going to be to John’s life when they meet but instead it turned out to be John who was important to Sherlock’s Life.
